Discoloration

A brilliant, white smile makes a world of difference. Veneers cover severely stained or discolored teeth resulting in a smile customized to your desired brightness. Plus, porcelain veneers are stain-resistant so you can save time on whitening treatments and enjoy a lasting white smile.

Broken or Chipped Teeth

We love your smile and want you to love it too! But dealing with broken, chipped, or cracked teeth can make you feel the opposite. Veneers cover those pesky chips and cracks, smoothing the way to a smile you’ll love.

01
How long do veneers last?

The lifespan of veneers varies and relies on several factors. This includes the quality of the materials used, your oral hygiene habits, and your lifestyle. Generally, veneers made from porcelain last for 10 to 15 years and that is being conservative. They typically last even longer with proper maintenance and care. Composite veneers generally last 10 years with proper maintenance.

To extend the lifespan of veneers, it's important to maintain good oral hygiene habits, including brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and visiting Implant Family Dentistry regularly for cleanings and check-ups.

02
Do veneers require a significant removal of my tooth structure?

Every patient is different, so we highly recommend a consultation with Dr. Lee. Dependent on how your teeth come together, the current state/condition of your teeth, and what you desire to achieve, there may be little to no preparation of your teeth required. Dr. Lee will evaluate your candidacy for veneers and review all associated risks/benefits with you so that you are empowered to make the best decision for your teeth.

03
How much does it cost to have veneers done?

When considering veneers, one of the most common questions is about the cost. The price of veneers can vary significantly depending on several factors, including the number of veneers you need, the material used, and the expertise of the dentist. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from $800 to $2,500 per tooth. This range reflects the difference between composite veneers, which are generally more affordable, and porcelain veneers, which are more costly but offer a more natural appearance and durability.

It's important to note that while veneers can be an investment, they are often seen as a worthwhile expense due to their ability to dramatically enhance the appearance of your smile. Many dental practices, including Imprint Family Dentistry in Arcadia, offer flexible payment plans or financing options to help make this cosmetic procedure more accessible. It's always a good idea to discuss the costs and payment options with your dentist during your initial consultation to ensure you have a clear understanding of the financial commitment involved.

04
Are veneers good or bad for teeth?

Veneers can be a fantastic option for many people looking to improve their smile, but like any dental procedure, they come with both advantages and considerations. On the positive side, veneers are an excellent way to address a variety of dental issues, such as discoloration, chipped or cracked teeth, and gaps between teeth. They are custom-made to fit your teeth and can provide a natural and aesthetically pleasing look.

However, it's important to understand that getting veneers is a permanent decision. The process involves removing a small amount of enamel from the front of your teeth to ensure the veneers fit properly. This means that once you get veneers, you will always need some form of covering on those teeth, whether it's veneers or another type of restoration. Additionally, while veneers are durable, they are not indestructible. They can chip or crack under excessive pressure, so it's crucial to care for them properly.

Overall, veneers can be a wonderful option for those looking to enhance their smile, but it's essential to weigh the pros and cons and have a thorough discussion with your dentist to determine if they are the right choice for your dental health and aesthetic goals.

05
How much do veneers cost?

The cost of veneers can vary, as mentioned earlier, but it's worth delving a bit deeper into the factors that influence the price. The material of the veneer is a significant factor. Porcelain veneers, for instance, are more expensive than composite veneers due to their superior aesthetic qualities and longevity. Porcelain is known for its ability to mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth, making it a popular choice for those seeking a flawless smile.

Another factor that affects the cost is the location and expertise of the dentist. Dentists with specialized training in cosmetic dentistry, such as Dr. Samuel Lee at Imprint Family Dentistry, may charge more due to their expertise and experience in delivering exceptional results. Additionally, geographical location can impact pricing, with practices in urban areas like Arcadia potentially having higher fees than those in rural regions.

It's crucial to consider these factors and have an open discussion with your dentist about the costs involved, as well as any available financing options that can make the procedure more affordable.

06
Can you eat with veneers?

A common concern for those considering veneers is how they will affect daily activities, such as eating. The good news is that once your veneers are properly bonded to your teeth, you can eat most foods just as you would with your natural teeth. Veneers are designed to be strong and durable, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of foods without worry.

However, it's advisable to take certain precautions to prolong the life of your veneers. For example, you should avoid biting into hard foods with your front teeth, such as ice, hard candy, or raw carrots, as these can potentially damage the veneers. It's also a good practice to cut tougher foods into smaller pieces and chew them with your back teeth to minimize any risk.

Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for keeping your veneers in top condition. Regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups will help prevent any issues and ensure your veneers remain a beautiful part of your smile for many years.
